Macaly is subscription-based with a credit system for AI-powered building. Credits are used when you generate or edit text, design, images, or code with AI. The number of credits depends on the complexity of the request. Hosting, analytics, databases, and SEO are included in your plan and do not consume credits within your plan’s allowances.
Pricing changed on 8 October 2026: the new Starter plan is available, the Free plan has clear limits, and Hosting is no longer offered to new customers. The questions and answers are in the Pricing update section below.

The Free plan includes 1 published app on a macaly.app subdomain. To publish more apps or use your own domain, upgrade your plan. If your workspace has more live apps than its plan includes, you get time to choose which one stays live. See Published apps over the limit. The Agency plan is priced in steps. Each step pairs a monthly credit amount with a number of client workspaces, from 150M credits and 5 workspaces up to 2B credits and 100 workspaces. Pick the step that fits on the pricing page, then get in touch with sales to complete the purchase. Unused Agency credits roll over for up to 60 days. The Hosting plan ($5/mo) is no longer offered to new customers. If you are already on Hosting, you keep your plan, price, and features, and you can still manage or cancel it from Billing. To keep one site on your own domain, choose Starter.

Top up credits

If you run out of credits before your billing period resets, you can purchase a one-time top-up on a paid plan (Starter or Pro). Top-up credits are valid for 60 days. You can also upgrade your plan tier to get more monthly credits instead.

Database usage

Every plan includes a monthly allowance for database usage: Database usage covers the data your projects store along with the reads and writes your app makes. The allowance is counted across your whole workspace, not per project, and it resets at the start of each calendar month. If you upgrade from the Free or Hosting plan in the middle of a month, your paid allowance starts at the upgrade, and usage from before the upgrade is never charged. Staying within that allowance costs you nothing extra. On the Starter, Pro, and Agency plans, each additional started 1GiB used within a calendar month costs 200K credits. The workspace owner gets an email when database storage reaches 90% of the monthly allowance. Database usage also includes the backend API calls your app makes to read and write data. On the Starter, Pro, and Agency plans, each additional 100,000 backend API calls within a calendar month costs 200K credits.

Some agent skills have a fixed credit cost each time they are used: Video generation cost depends on length, quality, and the model you choose. Apify Scraper only charges what it actually uses.

Pricing update: October 2026

On 8 October 2026, Macaly introduced the Starter plan ($10/month) and set clear limits on the Free plan: published apps, file storage, a website traffic allowance, and 100 Cloud actions per month. The Hosting plan is no longer offered to new customers. The Pro plan is unchanged. See Plans and credits for what each plan includes.
Starter costs $10/month (€8.80 or 210 Kč, depending on your billing currency) and is billed monthly only. It is meant for publishing one app on your own custom domain without the Macaly badge. It includes:
  • 1M credits per month
  • 1 published app on your own custom domain (the domain purchase is charged separately)
  • 5 GiB of file storage
  • 5 GiB of database usage
  • A 5 GB website traffic allowance
  • No monthly Cloud action limit
  • Email support and 3 months of analytics retention
Starter does not include the GitHub integration. If you need more credits or more room, choose Pro.
Nothing changes. You keep your Hosting plan, its price, and its features. You can still manage or cancel it from Billing.
No. Hosting is no longer offered to new customers. To keep a site live on your own domain, choose Starter.
Free includes 1 published app. If you have more, we email the workspace owners and admins first and give you time to choose which one stays live (the email tells you the exact date). You can also upgrade to a plan that includes more published apps. After the deadline, the other apps are unpublished. Your projects and data stay, and you can publish them again after upgrading, or once you’re within your plan’s limit. Unpublished apps are also removed from the community showcase.Until then, publishing a new app needs a free slot. To free one, unpublish an app. The slot becomes available again within a few minutes. Drafts and previews do not count toward the limit. See Published apps over the limit.
Cloud actions are what external AI agents, such as ChatGPT, Claude, or other MCP clients, do through Macaly Cloud. These count:
  • Creating or duplicating an app
  • Writing, editing, or deleting files
  • Running commands
  • Uploading files
  • Publishing
  • Connecting a domain
Reading files, listing, and previews are free. Chatting with Macaly inside the app does not use Cloud actions.
The Free plan includes 100 Cloud actions per month. Paid plans have no monthly Cloud action limit. The Free allowance is shared by the whole workspace and resets on the 1st of each month (UTC). Unused Cloud actions do not roll over.
Further counted actions are refused. The message shows the date when the allowance resets and a link to Billing. Reading files, apps that are already live, and chatting with Macaly inside the app keep working.
Yes. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. In Billing, schedule the switch to Starter, or choose Starter when you cancel Pro. Pro and its credits stay until the renewal date.At renewal, Macaly checks the workspace. If it has more than 1 published app or more than 5 GiB of files, the switch is cancelled and Pro renews. This check never unpublishes or deletes anything. You can undo a scheduled switch with Keep Pro.
Open Billing and choose the plan. Upgrades take effect immediately: you pay the full price of the new plan, receive its full credits, and your billing period restarts.
New uploads, and copying a database, are refused until you free up space. Existing files stay readable and published apps stay online.
Not today. The traffic figure on each plan is an allowance only. It is not metered, enforced, or charged.
Billing and Settings → Usage & limits (see Usage & limits) show your Cloud actions (Free plan), published apps, file storage, and the traffic allowance.
On the Free and Starter plans, a bar at the top of the home screen and inside chats warns you when your workspace is close to or over a plan limit. It turns amber at 80% and red when a limit is reached or exceeded (published apps turn red only when you have more live apps than your plan includes). It only informs: it can’t be dismissed, and it doesn’t unpublish anything by itself. See Plan limit warnings.
New Free workspaces receive 1 million credits per month. Otherwise, credits and top-ups work as before.
Starter includes 5 GiB of database usage per month and Pro includes 10 GiB. On Starter, Pro, and Agency, each additional started 1 GiB used within a calendar month costs 200K credits. Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately: you are charged the full amount, receive the full credits, and your billing cycle resets. There may be a short processing delay before your credit balance updates — a page refresh usually resolves this. Your unused credits from the previous tier remain available until the end of the current period. Downgrades, including switching from Pro to Starter or to the Free plan, take effect at the end of your current billing period.
If you are on Starter, you can either purchase a one-time credit top-up or upgrade to Pro. If you are on Pro, you can either purchase a one-time credit top-up or upgrade to a higher plan. If you are on the Free plan, you will need to upgrade to continue using the agent. All your projects remain active and your work is not affected.
Free plan users receive 1 million credits per monthly billing cycle. If your balance shows 0 and you have not used any credits, contact support. They can investigate your account. Paid plan credits are added at the start of each 30-day billing cycle.
It depends on the situation. If a confirmed platform-level issue occurred (such as the agent getting stuck, a sandbox crash, or a service outage), contact support with the link to the affected chat and the team will review the case and return credits as appropriate.If the agent was responding normally but needed multiple attempts to fix something, this is expected behavior with AI agents. To get the best results and avoid unnecessary credit use, provide the agent with as much context as possible, including screenshots and clear descriptions, rather than sending repeated fix commands. If the agent cannot resolve an issue even with full context provided, contact support and the team will investigate on a case-by-case basis.
If you are making your first purchase, you can enter a promo code during checkout on the billing page. If you already have an active paid plan, promo codes cannot be entered directly. Contact support with your code and the team will apply the discount to your account manually.
With the pricing update, all old Pro, Plus, and Ultra plans now include the same features as the current Pro plan. Your remaining messages have been converted at a rate of 1 message = 100,000 credits. You can continue using your current plan until it ends, but you can only switch to one of the new plans going forward.
