Interactive Charts

1. Build the dashboard

With the Google Ads account already connected, I built the dashboard around the real data. KPI cards up top, a performance chart, and a campaign table underneath.

Build a Google Ads reporting dashboard from my connected account. Show top-level KPI cards for total spend, clicks, impressions, CTR, and conversions. Add a line chart for performance over time and a bar chart for campaign-level breakdown. Include a data table listing each campaign with its key metrics.

2. Make the charts interactive

Then I made the chart interactive. Toggle buttons switch between spend, clicks, impressions, and conversions, and hovering any point on the line shows the exact numbers for that day.

Make the performance chart interactive. Add toggle buttons so users can switch which metric is highlighted. Add a hover tooltip on the line chart showing the exact date along with clicks, conversions, and impressions for that point.

3. Add budget alert notifications

Last, I added alerts so nothing gets missed. A notification flags any campaign nearing its daily budget limit before it overspends.

Add a notification system. When a campaign's budget utilization crosses a threshold (like 97% for the day), show an alert naming the specific campaign so it doesn't run over budget unnoticed.

What the agent did

  • Live Google Ads account connection

The dashboard runs on a real Google Ads account connected through Macaly's integrations. Campaign data syncs in directly, so the numbers on screen match the account, not sample data.

  • KPI summary cards with live metric totals

Five top-level KPI cards cover spend, clicks, impressions, CTR, and conversions. Each card shows the current period total alongside a delta badge for change versus the prior period.

  • Interactive charts

The performance chart toggles between spend, clicks, impressions, and conversions with a single click. Hovering any point on the line surfaces the exact date and its clicks, conversions, and impressions in a tooltip.

  • Budget alert notifications

A notification panel behind the bell icon flags any campaign approaching its daily budget limit, naming the specific campaign so nothing overspends unnoticed.

  • Client-ready visual design

A white-background layout uses Google Ads blue as the accent color, consistent card shadows, and a clear typographic hierarchy with a sans-serif system font stack. The result looks polished enough to hand directly to a client.
