Turn a spreadsheet into a website

Paste the cells from Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets and Macaly builds a site where every row gets its own page and people search by your columns.

Your browser reads the cells. Nothing leaves this page until you sign in.

Coburg Street Furniture is a made-up shop with a 64‑row stock sheet. Paste your cells and your rows take its place.

A furniture shop built this from its stock sheet

Sixty-four rows of teak, oak and brass became a site where every piece shows its photo, size, price and whether it's still for sale. Paste your own cells above and your first three rows take the place of these.

How buying works

01

Ask about a piece

Every piece has its own page with its measurements. Ask there and we answer the same day.

02

We hold it for 48 hours

Say you want it and it's reserved for you while you sort out a van or a visit.

03

Collect or we deliver

Collect from the workshop Thursday to Saturday, or we deliver anywhere in Scotland.

The workshop

Mended, not made over.

We buy from estates and auctions in Denmark, Norway and around Scotland, then fix what needs fixing: loose joints, worn veneer, tired oil. Original finishes stay where they can.

Ask us anything

Measurements, condition, delivery to your street. Tell us which piece and we'll get back to you.

Nobody scrolls through 64 photos on a phone looking for teak storage under £700. The site gets a search box and filters made from your own columns.

The list lives on the site now

Your rows move into the site's own database, with an admin page behind your login. Mark a piece reserved, change a price or add what came in this week, and the site shows it. Questions sent from an item's page wait next to that piece.

Questions about your sheet

Yes. Select the cells in Excel, header row included, copy them and paste them in the box at the top of this page, or save the sheet as CSV and upload it. Macaly builds a site where every row is an item with its own page. To keep the .xlsx file as it is, sign in and attach it in the chat.

Not on its own. Your rows are copied into the site's own database, and from then on you change the list on the admin page. You can connect Google Sheets in Macaly's settings and ask the agent to read the items from your sheet instead, but every read uses your credits.

Yes. Paste the link of a sheet shared as Anyone with the link, or one you published to the web, and your browser reads it straight from Google. If the sheet is private and should stay that way, copy the cells and paste them instead.

This page brings up to 60,000 characters of your data into your first message and tells you if any rows were left out. For a longer list, attach the full CSV or Excel file in the chat after you sign in, and the agent imports the rest.

If a column holds links to images, the agent uses them as the item photos. If not, drag your photos into the chat (PNG or JPG, up to 5 MB each) and say which item each one belongs to, or ask the agent for a photo upload on your admin page.

Each item page gets a short enquiry form, and every message is saved in your project's database next to the item it's about. On a paid plan the agent can also email you each new message. To take payments, connect your own Stripe account: Macaly adds no fee of its own, and Stripe's fees apply.

No. Your browser reads the cells on this page. They go to Macaly when you sign in, as your first message to the agent, and the rows are then stored in your project's own database.

Yes. The Database tab exports a full backup of every table as a ZIP file. If you want the items as a spreadsheet again, ask the agent for a download button on your admin page.

You can build and publish without paying. Sign in or create a free account, and the site goes live on a free macaly.app address with a small Macaly badge. Your own domain needs a paid plan.
