I grew up above a builder's yard in Stroud and still prefer a site visit to a spreadsheet. Most of my work is about keeping what is already standing and adding only what it needs. Outside work I row on the harbour most Sunday mornings.

Not right away. Your browser reads the text out of the file, and that text starts your project when you sign in. The PDF comes along too, so it can sit on the site as a download. A file over 1.5 MB stays behind, and you attach it in the chat once you are in.
A scan is a picture of a page, so there is no text in it for the browser to read. If you have a Word file, save it as a PDF first. You can also paste the text into the box, or attach the Word file in the chat after you sign in.
Only if you want them there. Macaly is told to leave your home address, phone number and date of birth off the pages and to give visitors a contact form instead. The download button serves your PDF as it is, so if your number is in the file, attach a copy without it in the chat.
Yes. Recruiters and HR systems often want the file, so the site keeps a download button with your PDF behind it. When you update your resume, attach the new PDF in the chat for the button to use.
Yes, that is what the site is for. Drop PNG or JPG photos up to 5 MB each into the chat and say which job they belong to. Tell the agent a bit about what you did, and it puts the projects under the right job.
On a paid plan, yes: Macaly can email you each time a new message arrives. On every plan, the messages are saved in your project's database, where you read them in one list.
Tell the agent in the chat about the new job, the dates and what you do there. On a computer you can also click any text on the page and rewrite it yourself, which uses no credits. Publish again and your link shows the new details.
You can build the site and publish it on a free macaly.app address without paying. Your own domain, like yourname.com, needs a paid plan. Buy one inside Macaly or connect one you already own, and we set up the secure connection for you.
