Why connect Todoist

What you need

  • A Todoist account. Create one for free at todoist.com

Connect Todoist to Macaly

Open Settings

Go to Settings → Integrations in your Macaly workspace.

Connect Todoist

Find the Todoist card in the list of apps and click the Connect button.

Authorize your account

A new window opens, where you’ll be asked to sign in to Todoist. Once you approve access, you’ll be redirected back to Macaly.

Use Todoist from the chat

Once connected, describe what you want and the agent handles the rest. Turn app actions into tasks automatically: 
I'm building a habit tracker. Create a Todoist task for each habit
I add and show my completion stats on the page.
Show your to-dos inside your app: 
Build a daily dashboard that shows my Todoist tasks due today,
grouped by project, and lets me check them off.
Manage tasks directly: 
Add a task to my "Work" project: "Send the proposal" due tomorrow
at 9am with the "urgent" label.

What the agent can do in Todoist

Create, update, complete, move, and reorder tasks, including quick natural-language add, organize projects, sections, and labels, filter and search tasks, add comments, invite collaborators, and pull productivity stats and activity logs.

Good to know

  • You connect once. Every project in your workspace reuses the same Todoist connection.
  • Edits apply to your real account. The agent creates and completes actual Todoist tasks and projects, so be specific about what you want.
  • Your account, your control. The agent only acts when you ask it to. You can disconnect Todoist anytime from Settings → Integrations.
