Gmail is Google’s email service. Connect your account once and the agent works with your inbox directly, so you can automate replies and notifications or build tools around your email without leaving the chat.
Available on all plans

Why connect Gmail

  • Turn activity in your app into a reply. When someone submits a form or signs up on your site, the agent can send a personal reply or notification from your Gmail account, no separate email tool needed.
  • Build tools around your inbox. Pull emails with a specific label into a support dashboard, or show a contact’s recent threads on their CRM profile, right inside your project.
  • Handle everyday email from the chat. Search your inbox, reply to a thread, or label messages without opening Gmail.

What you need

  • A Google account with Gmail. Sign in at gmail.com if you don’t already have one.

Connect Gmail to Macaly

1

Open Settings

Go to Settings → Integrations in your Macaly workspace.
2

Connect Gmail

Find the Gmail card in the list of apps and click the Connect button.
3

Authorize your account

A new window opens, where you’ll be asked to sign in to Google. Once you approve access, you’ll be redirected back to Macaly.

Use Gmail from the chat

Once connected, describe what you want and the agent handles the rest. Automate a reply when someone reaches out:
When someone submits my contact form, reply to their email from
Gmail thanking them and letting them know I'll respond within
24 hours.
Handle your inbox directly:
Search my Gmail for unread emails from Stripe this week and
summarize them for me.
Reply to the latest email from Jane to say the designs are
ready, then label that thread "Done".
Or build tools around your inbox:
Build a support inbox dashboard that pulls the latest emails
with a "support" label from my Gmail and shows them in a list.

What the agent can do in Gmail

Send, reply to, and forward emails, search and read your mailbox, manage labels and filters, look up contacts, and adjust settings like your vacation responder and forwarding.

Good to know

  • You connect once. Every project in your workspace reuses the same Gmail connection.
  • Destructive actions ask first. Permanently deleting messages, drafts, or labels can’t be undone, so the agent confirms with you before doing it.
  • Your account, your control. The agent only acts when you ask it to. You can disconnect Gmail anytime from Settings → Integrations.
