Why connect Linear

  • Turn feedback into tracked issues automatically. When a bug report or feature request comes in through your app, have the agent file it as a Linear issue so it doesn’t get lost in chat.
  • Show your roadmap without opening Linear. Build a public roadmap or an internal kanban board that pulls your projects and issues, grouped by status.
  • Manage issues from the chat. File an issue, update its priority, or get a summary of your backlog without leaving Macaly.

What you need

  • A Linear account. Create one for free at linear.app

Connect Linear to Macaly

Open Settings

Go to Settings → Integrations in your Macaly workspace.

Connect Linear

Find the Linear card in the list of apps and click the Connect button.

Authorize your account

A new window opens, where you’ll be asked to sign in to Linear. Once you approve access, you’ll be redirected back to Macaly.

Use Linear from the chat

Once connected, describe what you want and the agent handles the rest. Turn feedback into issues automatically: 
When someone submits a bug report on my site, create a Linear
issue in the "Web" team with their description and screenshot.
Show your roadmap on your site: 
Build a public roadmap page that shows our Linear projects and
their milestones, grouped by status.
Manage issues directly: 
Create a Linear issue in the "Web" team titled "Fix mobile nav",
set it to high priority, and assign it to me.

Find all open issues in Linear labeled "bug" and give me a
summary grouped by assignee.

What the agent can do in Linear

Good to know

  • You connect once. Every project in your workspace reuses the same Linear connection.
  • Edits apply to your real workspace. The agent creates and updates actual Linear issues and projects, so be specific about what you want.
  • Your account, your control. The agent only acts when you ask it to. You can disconnect Linear anytime from Settings → Integrations.
