# YouTube

> Connect YouTube to your Macaly account

YouTube is the world's largest video platform, where creators upload, share, and grow audiences around video content. Connect your account once and the agent can manage your videos and channel directly, or pull your content into your project.

## Why connect YouTube

* **Turn your channel into a video page.** Pull your latest uploads into a grid with thumbnails, right inside your project, always up to date with your channel.
* **Build a course from a playlist.** Turn the videos in a YouTube playlist into ordered lessons on a course site, without re-uploading anything.
* **Manage videos from the chat.** Upload a video, update its details, or check your channel stats without opening YouTube.

## What you need

* A **Google account** with a YouTube channel. Create one at [youtube.com](https://youtube.com) if you don't already have one.

## Use YouTube from the chat

Once connected, describe what you want and the agent handles the rest.

Turn your channel into a video page:

```
Build a video page that pulls the latest uploads from my YouTube
channel and shows them in a grid with thumbnails.
```

Build a course from a playlist:

```
I'm building a course site. Pull the videos from my "Lessons"
YouTube playlist and list them as lessons in order.
```

Manage your channel directly:

```
Upload this video to my channel as "Product demo", set the
description, and add it to my "Tutorials" playlist.
```

```
Pull my channel's view and subscriber stats and the titles of my
last 10 uploads, then summarize how they're doing.
```

## What the agent can do in YouTube

Upload and manage videos, organize playlists, fetch channel statistics and activity, search YouTube, handle comments and moderation, and manage subscriptions and caption tracks.

## Good to know

* **You connect once.** Every project in your workspace reuses the same YouTube connection.
* **Uploads and deletes are real.** The agent uploads, edits, and deletes videos on your actual channel, so be specific. Deleting a video can't be undone.
* **Your account, your control.** The agent only acts when you ask it to. You can disconnect YouTube anytime from **Settings → Integrations**.
