# Iubenda

> Add a cookie banner and privacy policy to your Macaly project

Iubenda is a service for cookie consent and privacy policies. The Macaly agent uses it to add a cookie banner and a privacy policy to your website, based on the services your website actually uses.

## What you get

* **A cookie banner** that matches your website's design. Visitors can accept, reject, or choose which cookies to allow.
* **A privacy policy page** at `/privacy-policy`. Iubenda generates the text for the services your website uses, and the page loads it live from Iubenda.
* **Privacy links in the footer**, so visitors can open the policy or change their cookie choices at any time.
* **Trackers that wait for consent.** Analytics, ad pixels, and embedded videos load only after a visitor allows them.

## Set it up

Open the chat in your Macaly project and ask the agent:

```
Add a cookie banner and privacy policy to my site.
```

<Steps>
  <Step title="Approve the setup">
    The agent shows a card with the estimated cost in credits. Click **Yes, set it up** to continue. If you choose **Not now**, you won't be charged.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the services">
    The agent checks your project for services that collect visitor data, such as analytics, payments, forms, or embedded videos, and shows you a short list. Correct it if a service is missing or no longer used.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Answer a few questions">
    The agent asks only for details it can't find in your project, usually the website owner's name, full address, and email, and the countries your visitors come from.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the result">
    The agent adds the banner, the privacy policy page, and the footer links, and tests that trackers stay blocked until a visitor gives consent. Publish your site to make the changes live.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Not sure where your visitors come from? Tell the agent. It then applies the strictest settings to all visitors.
</Tip>

## Pricing

Setting up Iubenda costs a one-time fee of 10,000 credits. Including the agent's work on your website, the total comes to around 1M credits, though actual usage may vary with the complexity of your website.

## Update your setup

When you add a new service, change the owner details, or start targeting visitors from other countries, ask the agent to update your cookie banner and privacy policy. Each update costs a one-time fee of 10,000 credits, plus credits for the agent's work.

| What you want | Example prompt |
| - | - |
| Add a new service | *"I added Hotjar. Update my cookie banner and privacy policy."* |
| Change the banner design | *"Make the cookie banner buttons match my brand color."* |
| Fix a broken link | *"The cookie settings link in the footer doesn't open anything."* |

## Good to know

* The integration covers up to 2 million page views per month
* The agent configures Iubenda based on the information you provide. This isn't legal advice, and you remain responsible for your website's compliance. If you're unsure, consult a lawyer
