# Google Search Console

> Connect Google Search Console to your Macaly account

Google Search Console is Google's free tool for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting how your website appears in Google Search results. Connect your account once and the agent can report on your search performance directly, or use it to power dashboards inside your project.

## Why connect Google Search Console

* **See your search performance without leaving your project.** Build a dashboard that pulls clicks, impressions, and average position over time, with a table of your top pages and queries.
* **Keep Google up to date automatically.** After you publish changes, have the agent resubmit your sitemap so new and updated pages get crawled sooner.
* **Catch indexing problems from the chat.** Check whether a specific page is indexed and see any issues Google found, without opening Search Console.

## What you need

* A **Google Search Console account** with a verified property. Set one up for free at [search.google.com/search-console](https://search.google.com/search-console)

## Use Google Search Console from the chat

Once connected, describe what you want and the agent handles the rest.

Build a performance dashboard:

```
Build a dashboard that pulls my Google Search Console data and
shows clicks, impressions, and average position over time, with
a table of my top pages and queries.
```

Keep your sitemap in sync automatically:

```
After I publish changes to my site, resubmit my sitemap in
Google Search Console so the new pages get crawled sooner.
```

Check indexing directly:

```
Check whether https://example.com/pricing is indexed in Google,
and submit my sitemap at https://example.com/sitemap.xml.
```

```
What were my top 10 search queries by clicks last month in
Google Search Console, with impressions and average position?
```

## What the agent can do in Google Search Console

Query clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average position by query, page, country, or device, check whether a URL is indexed and see indexing issues, submit and list sitemaps, and add or list verified properties.

## Good to know

* **You connect once.** Every project in your workspace reuses the same Google Search Console connection.
* **You need a verified property.** The agent works with sites already verified in your Search Console account. Adding a new site still requires verifying ownership with Google.
* **Your account, your control.** The agent only acts when you ask it to. You can disconnect Google Search Console anytime from **Settings → Integrations**.
